Game intro
This project is an interactive fiction game based on a 19th century Indian fantasy epic, 'Tilism-e Hoshruba' which was originally narrated in the Urdu oral storytelling form of 'dastan'.
Hoshruba is a 'tilism' or magical world filled with sorcery, war, romance and adventure. This particular cycle of dastans was inserted by an Indian storyteller into the 'Adventures of Amir Hamza' series, which originated in 11th century Persia. This project utilizes the material from the first book in the series, 'Hoshruba: the Land and the Tilism', written by Muhammad Husain Jah in 1883.
